During my PhD, I have worked at the intersection of neuroscience, engineering, and data science. My research integrates cutting-edge neurotechnology (Technology) with interdisciplinary approaches to advance scientific discovery (Science).

Through project-building in my PhD, I have developed a diverse set of technical and analytical skills, highlighted below:

  • Advanced Biomedical Instrumentation – Implemented a custom imaging system for wide-field two-color fluorescence imaging, integrating principles from applied physics and biomedical engineering.
  • End-to-End Data Pipeline Development – Implemented a full data processing pipeline, from acquisition to pre-processing, post-processing, and analysis, utilizing database and digital signal processing techniques.
  • Interdisciplinary Problem Solving – Applied strong quantitative skills and coursework in computer science (machine learning track) to solve complex scientific problems.
  • Data Visualization & Storytelling – Developed compelling narratives from data through data visualization, graphical design, movie production, and presentation design.
  • Collaborative & Team-Oriented Research – Worked within Columbia’s Motor Control Team, collaborating across multiple labs to bring together diverse expertise.
